There are some critical aspects of an IELTS essay topic that will make a very big difference in the quality of scores that you get. The essays are often read by people from all over the world. You are only a foreigner if you do not write your own essays and answers correctly! This should be taken into account by the essay author when writing about subjects that may affect their careers or can cause discrimination in their daily lives.
It is easy to get carried away when thinking about how to provide an appropriate answer to a question that has been presented by an IELTS tutor. Some common themes that arise are body image, relationship issues, family life and even depression. It is important that the answers reflect the real person. Being a foreigner is not necessarily a reason to avoid any subject, as they have much to say about it and can provide good insight to others too.
IELTS does not judge the content of the essays. It is only assessing the standards that the essay author meets in writing an essay on a particular topic.
